Description

The lighthouse on the island of Little Brewster outside the Boston Bay, the second of the oldest existing lighthouses in the United States.nThe first lighthouse on the island was built in 1716, now existing – in 1783. The height of the building is 28 meters (31 meters above sea level). During the American Revolution, it was held by the British forces. As the British forces withdrew in 1776, they blew up the tower and completely destroyed it. Since the construction of the lighthouse, it did not work until the Second World War, since 1998 it has been operating automatically.nSince 1964 – a national historical monument of the United States.
