Built in 1929 in the neo-Mudejar style, it replaced the old arena, located in the city center near the gates of Alcalá. Horseshoe-shaped arches around outdoor galleries and tiled decorations make the Las Ventas Arena a beautiful bullfighting destination. Fights on it are held from May to October. Two statues near the arena are monuments to the matadors Antonio Bienvenida and Jose Cubero.
