The Botanical Garden of the University of Lviv was first founded in 1852 on the Cyril and Methodius Street by Professor Lobazhevsky on the basis of the old garden of the Trinitarian monks.nThe new site of the botanical garden on Cheremshina Street has a complex relief, there is also a pond, a marshy valley, meadow slopes, dry elevated plateaus. This made it possible to recreate on its territory fragments of vegetation of different types: water bodies, swamps, meadows, meadow steppes, forest-steppe, different types of forest, plains, alpine and subalpine belts of the Carpathians.
