Description

Carnegie Hall – a concert hall in New York, on the corner of Seventh Avenue and 57th Street Manhattan. One of the most prestigious venues in the world for performing classical music. Today, jazz and light music concerts are also held at Carnegie Hall. Opened on May 5, 1891 with a concert by the New York Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Tchaikovsky, performing a solemn march written for the coronation ceremony of the Russian Emperor Alexander III in 1883.
