It is an integral part of the royal residence in Tsarskoye Selo.nCatherine Park, which received its name from the Catherine Palace, consists of two parts: a geometrically regular old Dutch-style garden and a free-flowing English garden. Regular garden was laid in 1720 by Dutch masters of landscape gardening on three benches in front of Imperial Palace. At the same time reflecting pool was constructed on the third bench, and there were made two ponds on the river Vangazi flowing from the hill: Upper (Large) and Mill (later included in cascade of Lower ponds).nThe main buildings in this garden are Upper bath, Lower bath, Hermitage, Cave, Hermitage Kitchen, Moreyskaya column, Gates, “To my dear colleagues”.
