The complex is surrounded by protective walls (preserved from the XVII century) and served as the defense of Lviv Posad. The buildings suffered from a fire in 1623 and were then restored by 1627. After the fire of 1748, the complex was restored by the architect Urbanik. As a result of the restructuring, the church lost its original appearance. To the southeastern part of the church adjoins a stone two-storey building of cells. The building of cells preserved the techniques and elements of the Renaissance architecture.
