Description

The monument was installed on the site of an old musical fountain near one of Lviv’s central restaurants.nThe fountain was rebuilt, in addition, the restaurant owners ordered the area around. The author of the project is sculptor Miroslav Goza. According to him, he worked on sculptures for more than three months. Each of them weighs at least 80-100 kilograms, as they are made to their full height.nRomualdo and Pelagia, Italian and Ukrainian, who lived in Lviv in the 16th century, despite the fact that the parents were against their love for religious reasons, because the young man was Catholic, and the girl was Orthodox, they remained faithful to each other until the end of their days. The young Italian Michelini from Crete brought a large batch of wine to Lviv and sold part of it to a Ukrainian merchant. In the merchant’s house, the Italian saw the merchant’s daughter Pelageya, whom he fell in love with, and she answered him in return.
