The Free Trade Hall is a former center for public speaking and cultural activity in Manchester, England. At the moment there is a hotel in it. The building is protected by the state and is an object of historical and cultural heritage. Free Trade Hall was built in 1853-1856 by the project of Edward Walters.nIn the Free Trade Hall in 1904, Winston Churchill made a speech in defense of Britain’s free trade policy. Then there were music concerts. In 1966, Bob Dylan performed there, in 1973, Pink Floyd and Genesis held concerts in the building. In 1976, the Sex Pistols band held a concert in the building.nThe building is two-story, built in the style of the Italian palazzo. On the second floor is an arcade, richly covered with ornaments. The arcade ornament includes carvings depicting free trade, art, production and commerce.
