Georgian National Museum

The Georgian National Museum is a Georgian museum network that brings together several leading museums from various parts of the country. The strict museum building is stylized as Old Georgian architecture – here in 1825 the Caucasus Museum was located. The most valuable exhibits of the museum are the Golden Fund: coins, medieval coinage and ancient jewelry from the Trialeti barrow (2nd century BC.). One hall is occupied by the scandalous Museum of Soviet occupation. A piece of the carriage for prisoners, various documents and artifacts from the era of repression are stored here.
