Globe Theatre

Globe Theatre is a theater created with the participation of the great playwright William Shakespeare at the end of the 16th century. Almost all the works of the author were put here, but the building existed for only 14 years and was destroyed by fire. The rebuilt theater existed until 1642 (at that time the troupe was dissolved by order of the Puritan government, and two years later the building itself was demolished). The modern “Globe” is a reconstruction of the fragments found at the excavations.
