Hyacintov nonclassical secondary school

Description

The building of the pre-revolutionary educational institution stands on the corner of Nikolaevskaya and Torgovaya streets. A three-floor house in 1906 was rented by a nonclassical secondary school of Vasily Ivanovich Hyacintov. Mariupol nonclassical secondary school as public has worked only one academic year. In June 1907, it was transformed into a private real college of V. I. Giatsintov. The teachers were elderly people of noble birth. The school functioned until the 20s of the twentieth century. Under the Soviet regime it was liquidated, and schoolchildren began to study on the premises. During the occupation, the Germans occupied the building, and retreating from the city in the fall of 1943, they burned it down. The burnt brickwork stood at the intersection until the early 60s, until it waited for its turn to restoration.
