Description

The Konstantinovsky Palace is an architectural monument of the 18th century that forms the palace and park ensemble in Strelna. The garden and palace complex took shape in the 18th – first half of the 19th centuries. Until 1917, the estate belonged to the Russian imperial family. Its first owner was Peter the Great, at the end of the XVIII century Strelna became a private grand duchy – in 1797, Paul I gave it to his second son, Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich, thanks to which the grand palace and park were given the name that has been preserved until now.
