The former main river port of Kyiv.nSince ancient times, Podol was the commercial center of the city, goods to Kyiv were delivered mainly by water.nKyiv river port was built in July 1897.nIn 2009, a type of public transport, which had been forgotten for Kyiv, was launched – the so-called “river tram”, for communication between the right and left banks ofthe city. The tram runs only in the warm season.
