Liebhouse

Liebhaus – a villa of the late 19th century, located on the embankment of museums along the River Main in Frankfurt. Since 1909, the sculpture museum has been located here – “City Gallery” Liebhaus “.”nThe villa was built in 1896 according to the project of the Munich architect. The museum has a collection of ancient Greek, Roman, ancient Egyptian sculptures, and works from East Asia. The collection of sculptures also covers the periods of the European Middle Ages, Baroque, Renaissance, Classicism. The collection was formed mainly thanks to private donations and purchases on international markets, so there are relatively few exhibits related to Frankfurt and its history.
