Liverpool Cathedral is an Anglican cathedral in Liverpool, the center of the Liverpool Diocese of York Province. The building was built in neo-Gothic style after the 1903 design by Giles Gilbert Scott. Construction began in 1904, but the cathedral was not completed until the 1970s. Liverpool Cathedral is the largest cathedral in the UK and the fifth in the world. It is believed that this is also the largest Anglican cathedral in the world. The bell weighs 31 tons and is considered the largest caller in the world.
