Description

Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral is Liverpool’s main Catholic church. A vivid example of church architecture of the second half of the XX century. Serves as the Chair of the Archbishop of Liverpool, also acts as a parish church. The project was developed by Edward Welby Pujin, son of the builder Big Ben. The current cathedral, founded in 1962, was built in 5 years.
