Description

The original building of the “Palace of Water Sports” was part of the public center of the southern residential district of Lviv. Built in the 1980s under the project of Zenoviy Pidlisniy, Vasily Kamenschik and Julia Verblyan. There were 50-meter swimming and training pools, as well as a pool for diving. The reconstruction of the project by Yaroslav Mastil was completed in 2008. The opening was timed to the start of the summer Olympics in Beijing.
