Lviv Polytechnic National University

Lviv Polytechnic National University is a higher education institution located in the city of Lviv. The oldest technical educational institution of Ukraine. It was founded in 1844 under the name Technical Academy — the first telephone conversation between the assembly hall and the chemical faculty of the academy was held in Austria-Hungary. In the same year, the famous Lviv architect Yulian Zakharevich became the rector of the academy, and the academy was renamed the Polytechnic School. 1993 – assignment of the university status and the new name of the State University “Lviv Polytechnic”.n
