Mamaev Sloboda – an open-air museum in Kiev, was registered on July 9, 1990, and on July 9, 2009 opened for visitors. The museum has 98 objects. Among the exhibits of the museum are the manor of the centurion, the Cossack blacksmith, the potter, the Cossack squires, the Jewish shopkeeper, the priest, the current Cossack church. In the center of the Sloboda stands the wooden church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, similar to the one that stood on the Zaporizhian Sich in the times of Bogdan-Zinoviy Khmelnitsky.nThe main purpose of the Sloboda is the recreation of Ukrainian rituals and traditions. During national and religious holidays, festivities take place on the territory of Mamayeva Sloboda. Also in the settlement you can get acquainted with the peculiarities of architecture and art of the Ukrainian Baroque, as well as learn the peculiarities of life and life of the Ukrainian Cossacks.n
