In November 1824, he arrived in St. Petersburg, from where he came to Odessa, where he worked as a teacher in the Richelieu Lyceum, having stayed in Odessa for nine months. A plaque – a certificate of Mitskevich’s stay in Odessa – was in Odessa before the erection of the monument. It is installed on the building of the Richelieu Lyceum, and is located at the intersection of Deribasovskaya and Ekaterininskaya streets. A thematic exhibition dedicated to Adam Mitskevich was created at the Odessa Literary Museum.n
