Description

The monument to Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was erected in Moscow on June 6, 1880. In 1860, on the initiative of graduates of the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, in which Pushkin studied, a signature was announced on the construction of monuments in Moscow. About 30 thousand rubles were collected. The sculptor depicted in full growth, dressed in a long frock coat. His head is tilted in thought, as if he is reflecting on a new work. The right hand is laid with the usual gesture overboard; on the left, folded back, is a hat.
