Monument to Grigory Skovorodа

The monument to Grigory Skovoroda is located on Square of Contracts in front of the building of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy,where the wandering philosopher and poet spent years as a student.nHis poetry collections “Garden of Divine Songs”, “Kharkov Fables”, philosophical treatises “Alphabet of the World”, “Two Conversations”, “Dialogues” etc.nBronze figure of Grigory Skovoroda in full growth is placed on a low pedestal of black granite. The philosopher is depicted as a traveler, who came back to Kyiv, looking at his alma-mater.
