It was the natives of Odessa, Ilf and Petrov who presented the inimitable novel “12 chairs”, one of the most famous and beloved works in our country, to domestic and world literature.nThe citizens of Odessa decided to perpetuate the achievement of outstanding citizens in bronze in the 1990s, and the same chair appeared on the city’s embankment, the search for which the heroes of the novel devoted most of their time to. A monument was erected on April Fool’s Day. The inscription on it reads: “Citizens of Odessa – Ilf and Petrov.” Today it is one of the most sought-after urban sculptures, almost every tourist seeks to have a photograph in the home collection with the famous Monument to a chair from Odessa.
