Monument to Leonid Utyosov

The bronze sculptural composition was made by а sculptor Tokarev. The cliffs are presented sitting on an open bench, the place next to it is empty. Thanks to this idea, as well as the fact that the sculpture is made a little more than the actual size, it brings the figure closer to the viewer, puts it on the same level as Utyosov.Initially, the composition included a jukebox, made in the form of an old telephone booth, installed a few meters from the bronze Utyosov. Inside the booth, next to the present disk telephone, a numbered list was attached, which included the most popular songs played by Utyosov. Anyone could dial a number from this list on the phone, and from the installed external speakers, the song selected from the list started to sound, heard not only inside the phone booth, but also outside. Unfortunately, this detail of the composition was soon disabled by the vandals, and after some time the jukebox itself was dismantled, a reminder of which remains the metal fasteners on the asphalt.n
