Monument to Michael Jackson

Monument to Michael Jackson – a monument to the American author-performer Michael Jackson in Yekaterinburg, the work of the sculptor Viktor Mosielev. The opening of the sculpture took place on June 25, 2011, two years after the death of the musician. This is the first and only monument to Jackson in Russia. The sculpture was installed on Weiner Street opposite the Greenwich shopping center. The monument has a height of 3 meters, weighs about half a ton, and is made of bronze in the same style as other sculptures in the alley. Michael Jackson is depicted in the image from the Black or White video clip in one of his famous dance poses: his left hand is pressed to his chest, and his right is slightly bent at the elbow and points to the side. The singer is dressed in a fluttering shirt, T-shirt, cropped trousers and moccasins, a hat covers his face.
