Monument to the Holy Apostle Andrew the First-Called

Apostle Andrew, was one of the twelve apostles, the disciples of Jesus Christ.nIconographically, the Apostle Andrew is depicted in red and green attire with a short beard, holding a cross or with a oblique cross, a symbol of his martyr’s execution, as well as a scroll in his hand or a book. nApostle Andrew the first of the disciples of Christ, is considered the patron saint of Ukraine. nThe monument to the apostle was opened in 2000 on the occasion of the 2000th anniversary of the Nativity of Christ.
