Description

Moscow Cathedral Mosque is one of the largest and highest mosques in Russia and Europe. The first building of the mosque was built in 1904, in 2011 it was demolished to build a new one, the opening of which took place on September 23, 2015. In the Soviet period, the mosque did not close and even became the only functioning mosque in Central Russia after 1936, when the first Moscow mosque was closed. In the same year received the status of the Cathedral.
