This museum contents expositions of the people life-peculiarities of different nationalities: Ukrainians, Russians, Greeks, Jews, Germans who settled in the territory of the Azov region at the end of the XVIII – beginning of the XIX centuries, as well as expositions of their economic activities and culture. In the section of the exposition “Life and Culture of the Ukrainian Population”, the interior of the Ukrainian hut and courtyard is presented. Here you can find out what the bread oven and other appliances looked like. The life and culture of the Russian population are reflected in the costume, folk instruments, and accessories for tea drinking. In the “Greeks of the Azov region” section there are casual and festive clothes, metal dishes, typical for the inhabitants of Crimea, samples of embroidered wall towels, decorative fabrics. Jews settled in the Azov Sea during the state colonization of the region at the beginning of the XIX century. In the exhibition you can see male and female Jewish costumes, original items of the Jewish population. The life and culture of the German colonists who settled in the Azov Sea region in the first half of the 19th century are represented by the interior of a part of the living room. Here are kitchenware, furniture, books, a German women’s costume.
