Pirelli Tower – a high-rise building in Milan, has long been the second tallest in Italy.nIn 1950, Alberto Pirelli, president of the Pirelli concern, came up with the idea of building the first Italian skyscraper at the place where his company had its first production facilities in the XIX century.nThe construction of a 127-meter office building took more than 60,000 tons of concrete. The main part of the construction work was carried out in 1956-60. On April 18, 2002 an amateur plane crashed into the Pirelli tower; three people died.
