Both sides of the plaza were ocupied wirh parking lots. The reconstruction began shortly after choosing Alexander Polak as a mayor of the city. During the renovation it was decided to built 2 fountains. In 2003 Alexander Polak died of heart attack, for his major contribution, awarded an honorary resident post-humuosly. Here you can also enjoy a beautiful city-landscape.
