Description

Built by order of King Vladislav IV and served as a repository of the city’s stock of weapons before the upcoming war. The royal arsenal is built between the city walls. It was built by an engineer Grodzitsky. In 1646, the arsenal was completed along with workshops in which various weapons and bells were cast. The facade of the building was decorated with a bronze sculptural composition, cast in 1639 by the caster Frank Caspar; now it remains in the Lviv Historical Museum.
