Description

The Church on Blood is an active Orthodox church built in the city of Yekaterinburg on the site of Ipatiev’s house, where the last Russian emperor Nicholas II, his family and four servants were detained and executed on the night of July 17, 1918. Built in 2000-2003 and consecrated on July 16, 2003, it has now become the main tourist attraction of Yekaterinburg, as well as the main cult center of St. Nicholas II and his family, attracting Orthodox pilgrims not only from Russia but also from around the world.
