It was built by architect Peter Krasovsky in 1578-1591. The chapel adjoins one side of the northern wall of the Assumption Church, the long side – to the Kornyakt tower. After the fire in 1671, it was rebuilt again. In 1846-1847, the chapel was restored, but then it was connected to the church by a passage. Currently, the entrance to the Church from the street is closed, you can only enter through the chapel.nIn the interior, smooth white walls contrast with the 17th century stucco on a picturesque background that imitates a mosaic that covers the inner surface of the domes.
