The church of the Order of the Carmelites barefoot

For the first time the church of the Order of the Carmelites barefoot is mentioned in 1634.nThe Carmelite monastery, located beyond the eastern line of Lviv fortifications on the hill, was a defensive complex. The baroque interior was decorated in 1731-1732 by the Italian painter Pedretti and his student Mazurkevich, whose paintings were preserved on the arches of the central nave. nIn 1648, the church as one of the defense units of Lviv was taken by the Ukrainian Cossacks of Bogdan Khmelnitsky.
