The Katacomba Kantakuzena Museum

The Museum is located in the old quarry of Quarantine Beam. There you will plunge into the history of the construction of early Odessa. The first wall inscription in this catacomb dates back to 1812. This is the oldest quarry in Odessa. It was from her stone built a number of mansions in the historic center of the city. Having finished her “construction” career in the beginning of the XIX century, the catacomb changed many roles: the refuge of adventurers, the counterfeit warehouse, the shelter during the war years …nIts length is 120 meters.
