The Lviv Philharmonic began work in 1902 in the premises of the former Skarbek Theater (today, the Maria Zankovetskaya Theater).nIn 1933, Adam Soltys founded the Lviv Philharmonic Orchestra. In 1939, the Philharmonic Society received the national status. Since 1944, the Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra began a constant concert activity.
