Located in the building of the former Anatomical Theater of the Medical Faculty of Kyiv University, it was designed by the architect Alexander Beretti and on the initiative of the outstanding Kyiv anatomist Professor Alexander Petrovich Walter in 1853. The museum presents the development of medicine in Ukraine from ancient times to the present day. His exposition consists of photographs, books, instruments, anatomical preparations, personal belongings of prominent Ukrainian doctors, medicines, medical and pharmaceutical devices.
