Residence of the Roman Catholic Archbishop-Metropolitan of Lviv, the location of the Curia of the Lviv Archdiocese and the management center of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine. The building contains features of several architectural styles. The palace was designed by renowned architect Johann Salzmann in the style of Biedermeier (a transitional style between classicism and romanticism).nIn 1886 the palace was rebuilt in the style of late classicism. The building differs from the surrounding buildings by the laconic architectural forms and the lack of decorations.
