The Sseniavski Arsenal

The Senyavskys arsenal building was designed by the military engineer Pavel Grodzitsky near the church of St. Mary Magdalene, since the capture of a church outside the city walls would have threatened the security of the city. Arsenal became a stronghold in the outer ring of fortifications in Lviv. Crowned with a Doric frieze, the side facade is decorated with sculpture.n In 2006, the restoration of the building at the expense of patrons of art was completed, and now the Yemelyan and Tatiana Antonovich Exhibition Hall of the Lviv Palace of Arts and the Stephanie Scientific Library is located here.
