Wellington’s Column or also the Waterloo Monument, dedicated to the 1st Duke of Wellington, is located on the corner of William Brown and Lyme Street, Liverpool, in England. After the death of the Duke of Wellington in 1852, they decided to erect a monument in Liverpool in honor of his victories. Brass plaque in the southern part of the pedestal – with a relief image of the end of the Battle of Waterloo, other victorious battles of the Duke are depicted on the reliefs of the eastern and western parts of the column.
