Barcelona History Museum is dedicated to the history of the city of Barcelona. Located in the heart of the city, on the Royal Square and includes several attractions of Barcelona, ​​each of which is considered an independent cultural and educational institution. The museum is engaged in storage, research, and documentation of the historical heritage of the city.nThe museum can be divided into underground and aboveground parts. In the underground part of the museum are the ruins of the old city, where fragments of Roman baths (therm), walls, water mains, sewers, etc. are preserved. And in the aboveground parts are the main exhibits of the museum. On the territory of the museum you can find the ruins of a residential building, a city wall, a square, an ancient laundry room, an ancient factory (a special seasoning made by the inhabitants of the Roman Empire — garum) was made here, remnants of religious buildings, and wine making factories. Among the ruins, you can also identify the remains of the Visigothic church and the Bishop’s palace.
