Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art

Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art is an art museum in the capital of Catalonia. The building, designed by architect Richard Meier, opened on November 28, 1995. The museum’s collection contains mostly works of art from the second half of the 20th century, as well as works by contemporary artists. The museum’s exposition changes every three to four months. In 2014, the museum acquired an additional venue for its programming, comprising a converted 15th-century chapel and two large halls, as well as the central square.
