Giuseppe Verdi Milan Conservatory is an Italian conservatory located in Milan. Founded in 1807 by Napoleon’s decree, the first statute of the institution was signed by the Vice-King of Italy, Eugene Beauharnais. The Conservatory is named after Giuseppe Verdi, who was denied admission as an overgrown at one time.nAmong the most important milestones in the history of the conservatory is the establishment in 1898 of the Museum of Musical Instruments, the opening of the first musicological courses in 1965, the opening in 1969 of the first specialized course in Europe for electronic music composers.
