Grand Central Terminal is a railway station in New York , located in the center of the borough of Manhattan , in the district of Midtown. Construction of the station was completed in 1871. It is a two-level. On the upper level, there are 41 paths and 26 paths on the lower one. The waiting room is made in a luxurious style, with arched windows and columns, reminiscent of a vaulted temple. Recently, the station had a “secret” 61st platform. It was used only once, to escort President Franklin Roosevelt directly to the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
