Description

The house was built in the summer of 1908 according to the design of an architect Eduard Bradtman in the style of early modern for a Poltava merchant Sergei Arshavsky. The monogram “SA” on the facade of the building still reminds of the first owner. Floor layout was a separate 10-room apartment. The premises included: kitchen, buffet, wine cellar, refrigeration room, laundry room. Initially, the estate was an adjoining garden of 569 sqare meters.nSince 1994, the manor has become one of the official residences of the President of Ukraine. The building held Ukraine-EU summit. nEach floor of the house consisted of ten rooms, an entrance hall and a pantry.The basement housed a boiler room of water heating, laundries and wine cellars. Next to the mansion was a garden, occupying 125 square fathoms, where there were two-storeyed stone rooms for storerooms, ice chambers, a room for the janitor, a room for the driver and garages for cars. In the basements of the outbuildings were wood and coal warehouses.
