The theater is located in the building of the former Trinity Folk House, built in 1901-1902. designed by architect Gennady Antonovsky in the style of rationalism. From 1964 to 2003, the theater was led by prominent figures of Ukrainian art Boris Sharvarko, Alexander Barsegyan, Boris Ryabikin, Sergey Smeyan, Vladimir Begma, Viktor Shulakov.nFrom 1980 to 2010, the People’s Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Segal was the main ballet master of the theater.n
