Monument to Steelmaker

The monument to Steelmakeris one of the symbols of the metallurgical industry of the city of Zaporizhzhia. Behind Stalevar begins the factory zone – the industrial heart of Zaporizhzhia.nThe monument to Steelmaker was created by the famous Zaporizhzhia sculptor Ivan Nosenko and was installed in November 1963, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the first smelting of cast iron in the blast furnace of the Dnieper industrial complex. The first smelting of cast iron was carried out on November 16, 1933, since then this date is considered the birthday of the Zaporizhstal combine. According to the plan of the city authorities, the memorial symbolizes the worker of the metallurgical complex.
