Moorish Arch

The arch in the Neo-Mauritanian style was built at the beginning of the 20th century as an element of registration of entry into the territory of the Zhdanova cottage. Prior to that, the cottage of Baron Reno, the cottage of vintner Victor Enno, the cottage of Reichter and Baranov were located here. In 1891-1894 they are all redeemed by Zhdanova. A small lane has since been called “a driveway to Zhdanova’s dacha,” after 1917, remains unnamed. The owner of the cottage, Ekaterina Zhdanova, is the spouse of Leonid Arsenyevich Zhdanov, a deputy of the City Duma, a householder (Ekaterininskaya, 6), an honorary magistrate.
