The garden is an educational unit of the Faculty of Biology of the University, graduate and term papers are performed annually at its base, and the scientific staff of the garden participate in the educational process.nThe garden is open to the public, guided tours are offered. The first botanical garden in Odessa was founded by French botanist Carl Desmet in 1819.
