Description

The Palais de la Porte Dorée is an exhibit hall. The building was constructed for the Paris Colonial Exposition of 1931. A symbol of the art deco style, it has housed a tropical aquarium since its creation and, since 2007, the Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration, which takes a fresh look at the history of France by showing the part that was played by immigrants in economical development, social evolution, and the cultural activities of the country.
